Status Bar

The screen shot below shows the entire Brain Freeze status bar. This section of the Brain Freeze window is the command center of the game. You are able to track your progress as you are playing the game. The action bar allows you to control the options and game play.

Picture Status

This portion of the status bar displays all the types of pictures that are hidden behind the game pieces on the game board. It also displays the number of pictures remaining to be matched.

Game Status

This portion of the status bar displays the overall status of the game.

The status item in this section are:

Total Time - This is the total time you have been playing the current game.
Mix Time - This is the amount of time remaining until the game pieces are shuffled. Marked game pieces and matched game pieces are not moved when the game pieces are mixed up.
Remaining Peeks - Every game has a limited number of peeks available. This part of the status bar lets you know how many peeks you have available to use.
Remaining Markers - Every game has a certain number of Brain Freezers that you need to avoid. You have the ability to mark each and every Brain Freezer on the board. So, at the beginning of the game the number of markers equals the total number of Brain Freezers hidden on the game board. As you mark a game piece, this number reflects how many Brain Freezers you have left to mark.

Action Bar

This portion of the window contains button allowing to control all aspects of the game.

The buttons include:

New Game - Start a new game. If a game is currently active, you will be asked if you wish to end the current game.
Options - Change the options. You can choose from 3 levels of difficulty and control display aspects of the game.
High Scores - Displays the players who have achieved high scores for each level in the game.
Quit - Quit the game and close the window. If a game is currently active, you will be asked if you wish to end the current game.
Help - Allows you to access the help screens you are currently viewing.
